Commission: Hogwarts' Student

I was contacted late last year by a client who wanted an illustration of their friend dressed as if they went to Hogwarts, with some LOTR references included as well if possible. This is a small version of the end result! (full sized files are for recipient only!) I went with a more book-friendly design (in the HP books it always mentions them wearing jeans and other regular items of clothing underneath their robes) with the robe tinged green to suit the client's friend's Slytherin alignment. The wand is modelled off of Gandalf (the Grey)'s staff in the LOTR movies; the ears denote an elven lineage; and the bonzai ent in a cauldron is a nod to Guardians of the Galaxy XD

I cannot say enough how proud and amazed I am to have been asked to do a commission and hopefully it will not be the last! I had a bunch of fun looking through references and trying to capture the correct essence and spirit of the character. I also learned just how much I can do if I push myself :3 Of course, I could still probably spend 20 more hours on it polishing and polishing away, but having a deadline is sometimes a good thing~ XD
